Below are some links to information about volunteer opportunities – both within Washington State and beyond:

  • WIN 2-1-1 – serves all counties in Washington State, except Clark and Skamania counties. It has a comprehensive resource directory for persons of all ages. You can search by keyword “volunteer” and your county to find a full list of local volunteer opportunities.
  • 2-1-1info – serves Oregon and the greater Portland area, including the Southwest Washington counties of Clark and Skamania. Using the keyword search, “volunteer” and the city will result in a listing of local volunteer opportunities.
  • Volunteer Centers of Washington – a membership organization of volunteer Centers that match people to programs and events, typically with online databases.
  • All for Good is a database of volunteer and community service opportunities across the country, a service of Points of Light. It connects people with non-profit organizations looking for volunteers.
  • AoA Civic Engagement Initiative – provides information on the U.S. Administration on Aging’s Civic Engagement initiative, but also lists several volunteer and civic engagement opportunities within the national network of aging services and supports, funded through the Older Americans Act.
  • Points of Light – a global organization dedicated to volunteer service in 29 different countries. It helps mobilize people to take action on the causes they care about.
  • Corporation for National Community Service – home to national and state data on volunteering in America.
  • Independent Sector - A leadership network for nonprofits, foundations, and corporations committed to advancing the common good. The nonpartisan coalition’s networks collectively represent tens of thousands of organizations and individuals locally, nationally, and globally.
